Implants
What is a dental implant?
Implants are a great way of replacing one or more missing teeth. They are strong, permanent and look and feel very natural. An implant is, in essence, a false tooth root which provides a strong and permanent base for a realistic, porcelain crown. They can also provide a firm base for dentures, making them more secure and comfortable.
Why might I need an implant?
We might suggest having an implant:
- If you have lost a tooth and want permanent replacement.
- If you want a permanent support for a non-removable denture
- To support a bridge without affecting the adjoining teeth.
What is the benefit for me?
An implant is a natural looking permanent tooth replacement which, if looked after properly, and with good oral hygiene, should last for the rest of your life.
