New Patients
Welcome to our practice
We are happy to welcome new patients of all ages to our practice. Our registered patients span all generations from toddlers to their great-grandparents!
We see adult patients for private treatment and children up to the age of 18 under the NHS.
Whether you are transferring from another practice, or haven’t been to a dentist for a number of years contact us to arrange a new patient examination. Your initial examination and dental health assessment will cost £60.
The gentle caring approach of our dental team reassures our patients of all ages and puts them at their ease. We have successful treated many nervous patients, both children and adults, helping them to overcome their fear of dental treatment.
Regular dental examinations, and treatment when necessary, will help you maintain healthy teeth and gums and have the confidence that a beautiful smile can bring.
Why choose us?
High Street Dental Practice has built a reputation of quality treatment for all the family. We cover a wide range of treatments from simple fillings to advanced bonding, veneers and implants. We also offer Invisalign® ‘invisible braces’ to help straighten crooked and misaligned teeth. We aim to care for you as we would wish to be cared for ourselves.
We can improve your smile by straightening crooked teeth, whitening discoloured teeth, replacing unsightly fillings with tooth coloured ones, arranging to replace gaps with dentures, bridges or implants.
We offer same day emergency appointments, and late night opening until 7pm on a Wednesday.
We provide a wide range of Denplan monthly plans. Talk to your dentist at your appointment for advice as to which is most appropriate to maintain your dental health.
Your First Visit to Our Practice
When you arrive you will be welcomed by our friendly reception team who will ask you to complete a medical history form before you see the dentist. If you would like to complete this before you come: Click here to print a copy
Your dental examination will be with either Julie or Anil, who will initially discuss with you your medical history and your previous dental treatment.
They will then carry out a full dental health examination looking at your teeth, gums, soft tissue, jaw joints, and bite. They will also take digital X-rays of your teeth as these show those areas between, inside and underneath your teeth, gums, and the bone supporting your teeth and are an essential aid to providing a comprehensive initial review of your overall oral health.

There will be ample opportunity during your appointment for you to discuss any dental concerns you may have or to talk about changes you would like to achieve in the appearance of your teeth or you general dental health. We will provide you with a clear explanation of any treatment recommended, giving you a written estimate of the costs involved before your treatment commences.
They may also recommend that you see one of our Dental Hygienists to maintain your oral health.
Please don’t feel embarrassed if it has been a while since you have been to see a dentist, we know how easy it is to get out of the habit, and we are here to help you.
We look forward to working with you to help you achieve the smile you want.
