Dentures
What is a denture?
A denture is a removable prosthesis used to replace missing teeth. Commonly referred to as ‘false teeth’, a denture is usually made of acrylic or a combination of acrylic and metal.
Why might I need a denture?
We might suggest fitting a denture:
- If you have several missing teeth and want to improve your appearance
- If you have several missing teeth and want eat and speak normally
- If you have lost all your teeth through disease or decay and want to restore your appearance and be able to eat and speak normally
A partial denture is fitted to replace some missing teeth whilst a complete denture is indicated when all the natural teeth are missing.
What is the benefit for me?
A good set of professionally fitted dentures helps you to eat, speak and function normally after the loss of several or all of your teeth. A well-fitting denture can help improve your appearance and restore lost confidence.
